X-TEND is designed with a focus on aesthetics and sustainability. The idea behind X-TEND is based on the simple ”scissor arm principle”.
Instead of one scissor arm as we know it from lamps and mirrors, the scissor arm is split into individual elements. So you get a system where you can design and assemble your very own coat rack.
Our waste has a new life
The plastic elements of the coat rack are made from post-consumer recycled plastic, giving your discarded waste a new life.
What do you find in the box?
The X-TEND box contains:
- 8 black arms (made of recycled plastic)
- 4 wooden knobs (oak or walnut, diameter 63 mm)
- 6 brass knobs in 2 sizes (diameter 28 and 38 mm)
This means one box with thousands of possible combinations and the option to build 2 or more sets together. So you can personalise this coat rack to suit any home - and any wall size. Imagine, create, transform.

- Tree buds: 63 mm in diameter
- Small brass knob: 28 mm in diameter

From play to coat rack
X-TEND is designed by SPARK by Thomas Pedersen. He got the idea for a coat rack as a construction kit by thinking back to childhood play with Lego and Brio construction kits.
